Chiseled: Edmonton International Ice Carving Competition

It’s back! The Chiseled Ice Carving Festival returns to the ICE District this January. Walk through the displays as talented sculptors chisel away at their frozen blocks and marvel as they transform them into a finished masterpiece. It’s a frosty spectacle that you’ll want to have bookmarked in your calendar.

Silver Skate Festival

Edmonton’s longest-running winter festival! Check out snow sculptures and learn something new at the heritage village, or the winter markets! Lots will be going down during the 10-day, family-friendly festival.

When: Saturday, February 9th to 19th, 2024

Taste of Africa 

To celebrate Black History Month, Taste of Africa will return this February with a rich display of dance, storytelling, poetry, and more. The evening ends with a tasting of a variety of foods from different parts of Africa and the Caribbean.

Edmonton International Beerfest

We hope you’re thirsty come March! Edmonton BeerFest is Western Canada’s largest Beer Festival and you won’t want to miss it! This year, immerse yourself in beer culture, history and traditions while enjoying live entertainment, local cuisine, educational classes, demonstrations and workshops.

Downtown Defrost

By the end of March, we’ll all be tired of the snow and ice – but that’s where the Downtown Defrost comes in! This spring, check out this family-friendly celebration of dance music and culture in Sir Winston Churchill Square.

Jurassic Quest

Featuring animatronic creatures, fossils and fun – North America’s best and “most realistic” dinosaur expo is back! Jurassic Quest, an imaginative event of epic proportions will return to Canada this spring and Edmonton is on this year’s hit list!

Downtown Spark

Get ready, party people! Downtown Spark will be back in 2024 and you can expect this year’s event to be bigger and better, with more things to see including art installations and musical performances, as well as street parties! The event will be free, and family-friendly!

UFest Edmonton Ukrainian Festival

The largest event of its kind in all of Western Canada! UFest Edmonton Ukrainian Festival is a celebration of culture, food, music, visual arts, crafts and dance. The two-day event will be free to attend and incredibly tasty. Don’t miss it!

Pride Month

TD Edmonton International Jazz Festival

Since 2006, the TD Edmonton International Jazz Festival has been bringing the world’s best jazz to Edmonton, and this year is no exception. The popular music event returns this June!

Canada Day Fireworks

Happy Birthday, Canada! While no information has been made public just yet, we can count on Canada Day in Edmonton being just as vibrant as it has been in years past. From fireworks and live performances, we’re bound to have a ton of fun in and around the city this July.

Animethon

Edmonton Heritage Festival
