Guess what, local art lovers? The beloved Eastside Culture Crawl is celebrating 27 years this weekend, which means over 500 presenting artists are back with visual art of all kinds – from paintings, sculptures, pottery, and prints to glassware, furniture, and jewelry.
The four-day festival will take place in the form of a ‘crawl’ across Vancouver’s Eastside community, including open artist studios, workshops, live demos, and artist talks. So if you’re looking to engage with the local arts scene and meet a mix of up-and-coming and established artists, now’s your chance.

As for this year’s lineup of events, guests can expect to kick things off with their annual fundraiser, Take Flight, featuring the wildly popular Silent Auction and Art Roulette (October 19th to November 4th, tickets coming soon).
There will also be a child-friendly workshop series called Studio 101 featuring hands-on artistic experiences, all of which are free.
So there you have it, Vancouver! Stay tuned for more info on the festival, including the announcement of more events and the release of the map of open studios.
