It’s the season of celebrity sightings in Ontario. From Shawn Mendes and Camila Cabello to the cast of a new Amazon Prime series, it seems like the last few weeks have been particularly star-studded in this province. Most recently, it was former Disney star Dylan Sprouse and his supermodel girlfriend Barbara Palvin who were out and about in the Niagara region and the city of Hamilton.

Sprouse is in town for the filming of My Fake Boyfriend, an LBGTQ+ romantic comedy in which he stars alongside Modern Family‘s Sarah Hyland and Keiynan Lonsdale from CW’s The Flash.

When he’s not on set, Sprouse always seems to be exploring local destinations with Palvin at his side. He even took her to his go-to spot for authentic Italian espresso, an art deco-style cafe and barbershop that just opened up in Hamilton called Andiamo. Curiocity spoke to the owner Andrea Bucci, who said that Sprouse’s visit caught him by surprise.

“He just walked in one day, and he said he was an enthusiast of Italian espresso because he kept emphasizing that and he found out from somebody that we sold it […] so, because of that I think that’s why he ended up coming back, and the second time he brought Barbara,” Bucci said, explaining that Sprouse sought out their style of espresso, which isn’t available at most places.

“He sat there for a bit, spoke to my barista for a little while, then they went for lunch across the street, and then they ended up coming back, grabbing another coffee and cannoli,” he said. “He was telling us that we’re going to be his coffee spot while he’s here.”

Sprouse also seems to enjoy hanging out in the George St area, where Andiamo is located. “It’s funny because Dylan’s been kind of hanging around the strip that we have our cafe on, I’ve run into him a couple of times and outside of the cafe as well.”

The actor told Bucci how much he loves Canada, which he seems to have in common with his twin brother Cole Sprouse. Cole has been spending a lot of time in Vancouver, staying in a swanky $15,000 a night suite at the Fairmont Pacific Rim, according to his interview with Vogue.
