It’s only been in the city for a few years, but it’s fair to say that DownLow Chicken Shack has quickly become a must-visit spot in Vancouver. And now, they’re planning on expanding to UBC! Good luck resisting this temptation, returning students.

The new spot will be at 6065 University Boulevard, taking over a space once occupied by Baodown. It’s among good company- with neighbours like JamJar Canteen and Rain or Shine Ice Cream, among others. Once open, it’ll be available for both dine-in and takeout.

And you know what that means, savvy UBC students. Yup, right as you’re finishing your PHIL 101 or some other nonsense class, you can order up a delicious chicken sandwich for your lunch break. Or some chicken fingers, or just a couple of pieces of fried chicken with a side or two. Basically, the entire original menu will be available here.
