This popular Italian cafe is opening its first North American location in Toronto

Get ready, coffee lovers! Toronto will soon be home to a new cafe experience flying in straight from Italy, and it’s a first for North America.

Introducing Ditta Artigianale, a new 40-seat cafe coming to 604 Richmond Street this October. This will be the Italian-based roaster’s first location outside of Florence, Italy, and its new home is centrally located on Richmond, steps away from Bathurst Street.

It’s an intimate space where coffee lovers can stop by for their fix in the mornings and end their nights with a cocktail in a dimly lit setting.

Along with the specialty coffee, the cafe will serve baked goods, brunch eats, small plates, and aperitivo.

Not only will it serve caffeinated beverages, but its bar will also curate spirits and specialty cocktails. This is the perfect spot for a late-night date or simply for a change in scenery.

The chain was founded in 2013 by world-renowned barista and roaster Francesco Sanapo and Patrick Hoffer. Sanapo won Italy’s best roaster in 2019 so expect quality brews in every cup.

We had a chance to check out the new space before it opens to the public and it’s safe to say this spot may be your next new favourite cafe.
