10 amazing beaches right here in Alberta that you should visit this summer

Located north of Edmonton, just a short drive from Slave Lake, Devonshire has a campground, a day-use area and a giant beach.

From building castles to having a picnic, this soft sand area is 1.5 km long and is super well maintained – but it gets better.

Devonshire also has an accessible viewing platform and nearby beach wheelchair rentals so everyone can enjoy themselves!

Interested? Pack some road snacks and head out or check out one of the incredible beaches within the province! After all, it won’t be long until the winter returns and these areas are frozen over again.

Enjoy and don’t forget to wear sunscreen! It’s going to be spicy out there.
