This 72-foot Ontario waterfall with three cascades drops into a bowl-shaped amphitheatre

When there are waterfalls involved we gotta make the joke: who wants to go chasing waterfalls?! Autumn is the perfect time to take in nature’s sights before the snow comes. DeCew Falls is located in St. Catharines, Ontario standing at 72 feet with three flowing cascades.

Getting there
DeCew Falls is located in St. Catharines, about a 90-minute drive from Toronto.
You can access the stunning natural wonder at Morningstar Mill. From there, The trail to get to the falls is a relatively easy hike.
The trail loop of Decew Falls takes you past the waterfall and the historic Morningstar Mill at the top.

According to Info Niagara, DeCew Falls “cascades 22 metres (72 feet) into a bowl-shaped amphitheatre just behind the mill.”
If you’re walking along where the falls are proceed a few hundred metres to the Bruce Trail toward the east you can find a spot to enter into the gorge.
Just beside the main falls is what some call “Tunnel Falls”. This cascade is much smaller but still pretty cool and worth checking out!
Finally, as you head downstream you’ll find DeCew Falls.
The falls are usually busiest during the summer so fall is the perfect time to check them out, plus the surrounding changing foliage makes for a pretty stunning backdrop.
