What park always makes lists of scenic Washington destinations? Deception Pass of course! There is nothing deceiving about the views this state park has to offer. And it has made it to a new ranking, according to Travel Lens.

Travel Lens looked at Yelp and TripAdvisor to find out which state parks are the most aesthetically pleasing to visitors. They looked at the total number of reviews, and in more detail, looking for the number of reviews containing the words ‘beautiful’, ‘stunning’, and ‘breathtaking’ for each park.

Here are the top 10 best state parks in the nation, according to Travel Lens:

  1. Porcupine Mountains Wilderness, Michigan
  2. Smugglers Notch, Vermont
  3. Grayson Highlands, Virginia
  4. Hocking Hills, Ohio
  5. Deception Pass, Washington
  6. Brown County, Indiana
  7. Franconia Notch, New Hampshire
  8. Waiʻānapanapa, Hawaii
  9. Eldorado Canyon, Colorado
  10. Baxter, Maine

Deception Pass received an overall score of 61.03% with 195 total Yelp reviews, with 14 mentions of beautiful, and 5 mentions of both stunning and breathtaking views. The park also came in 4th place for most Instagrammed state parks in the US.
