Heads up, soccer lovers! Former professional English soccer player – or ‘footballer’ – David Beckham was recently on the slopes in BC.

Over the weekend, Beckham shared a post on Instagram documenting his experience on the scenic slopes with friends and loved ones, including his son, Cruz.

In the last slide, Island Lake Catskiing is pictured, revealing that Beckham and his group were staying at the Island Lake Lodge just outside of the charming town of Fernie.

While Beckham is first pictured navigating some deep powder lined with trees, he made sure to include the moments where he fumbled.

In the video, his first fall completely submerges him in snow, followed by a recovery and a second fall where he struggles to get back up.

Hence, his landing of the “perfect triple somersault face plant,” he shares in his caption.

Known for being the first English player to win league titles in four different countries (England, Spain, the U.S., and France), Beckham’s professional soccer career certainly eclipses his time on the slopes – though something tells us that BC’s powder will have him back on the snowboard sooner rather than later.

The Beckhams frequently visit Canada, and last summer they were in Ontario’s cottage country!

Locals in Muskoka were probably not expecting to see David Beckham and Austin Butler in back in August, but then again, the “Hamptons of the north” attracts all kinds of rich and famous visitors.

The celebs were accompanied by the rest of the Beckham family as they paused their fun-filled Canadian vacation to help drivers safely bypass a fallen tree on the road.

Aww. We love it when the Beckhams are in town!
