Serving trendy cocktails and showcasing local artists, the team behind Dark Arts – a Calgary popup revered for its originality and Insta-worthy decor – has announced a brand new location to open in the coming weeks.

This upcoming space (located in the iconic Glenbow Cornerblock) comes just over a month after they closed their first popup in the Grand Theatre – which was extended due to its popularity and commitment to supporting creators during the pandemic.

By displaying and selling unique pieces within the space, Dark Arts were able to help painters, musicians and sculptors get their work in front of Calgarians despite galleries and museums being closed at the time.

“Our last location was about establishing the balance between a food & beverage program while showcasing local artists,” operational partner Dallas Tambeau said in the press release.

“This new multi-room experience is an evolution of that idea as we move to a full menu and add additional local artists into the collective.”

From easy eats like burgers and fries to more elevated dishes like foie gras and white truffle, the Dark Arts will have something for every pallet and occasion, making it the ultimate place for a drink after work or a special night out.

Unfortunately, as of today, they have yet to announce an official opening date – but it’s only a matter of time, which flies when you’re having fun!

Until then, we’ll keep an eye on this one, updating you with more information as it rolls in. If you’re an artist and would like to work with Dark Arts, you can find more information on their Instagram or their website.
