An exciting new series will soon be in production in our city. Amazon’s long-awaited Cruel Intentions TV show will begin filming in Toronto this spring.
The eight-episode series adaptation of the 1999 cult classic film will be in production in the city starting on June 19th.
The original film, which starred Sarah Michelle Gellar, Ryan Philippe, and Reese Witherspoon, will be returning to the screen in a new TV show format.
According to ACTRA’s database of productions shooting in Toronto, filming for the new series will take place throughout the summer and wrap on September 22nd.
The original film follows “two vicious step-siblings of an elite Manhattan prep school” who make a wager to “deflower the new headmaster’s daughter before the start of term,” says a description on IMDb.
