Food and television intersect at a unique culinary event taking place this January on Whidbey Island. Culinary producer Courtney Storer of FX’s The Bear is taking up shop during a residency at Whidbey Island’s The Captain Whidbey Inn. Courtney will be preparing dishes alongside some other amazing local businesses and here’s how you can check it out.
Courtney will be at The Captain Whidbey Inn from January 5th-8th, serving up a pre-set menu each night. Guests will be able to enjoy homemade Italian feasts created with friends from Yeti, Gozney, Taylor Shellfish Farms, & La Dive.

You’ll be able to enjoy oysters around the fire, afternoon cookouts, PNW adventure activities, focaccia-making workshops, and cozy Cioppino nights. Menus will include items like handmade pasta, seafood, marinara sauce, and more, bringing trattoria staples using local specialties of the Pacific Northwest. What’s more, expect the wine and whiskey to be flowing, as you spark connections with old and new friends.
