Here’s where you can partake in afternoon tea to celebrate the coronation in BC

This weekend, Canada will officially mark the coronation of its new monarch, His Majesty King Charles III. And if you love a good cup of tea, there are a handful of high tea parties happening in Vancouver to mark the occasion.

So with that in mind, here are 3 spots for afternoon tea to celebrate the coronation in BC this weekend.

King Charles III’s Coronation Afternoon Tea Experience

On Saturday, May 6th, the historic Fairmont Empress is serving up their finest scones, savoury pastries, sandwiches, desserts, and of course, the King’s favourite Darjeeling tea. Enjoy sipping and indulging at the elegant Lobby Lounge and receive a commemorative menu to take home as a souvenir!

And from May 5th to 12th, the Q at the Empress and Q Bar will temporarily transform into the ‘K at the Empress’ and ‘K Bar,” allowing guests to raise a toast with the special King’s Elixir ($23), a smoky, gin-forward cocktail. As well, visitors can watch the ceremony live on May 6th and enjoy the King’s Cheesy Egg Bake ($23).
