When you think about Globalfest, what’s the first thing that comes to mind? Is it the fireworks and performances? Or … is it the food? If it’s the perogy stand, the samosa’s or even just the mini-donut truck, then you’re likely a foodie and are going to want to read ahead.

This year, one of Calgary’s biggest festivals has extended its reach well beyond its annual celebration and explosive show.

You see, in addition to its big international meeting of the minds and pyrotechnics, which is currently scheduled for this August, the folks behind the event have also put together a virtual offering, featuring master chefs and incredible eats!

Starting Tuesday, May 4th, Globalfest will host a LIVE 10-episode miniseries, that will take viewers through the entire process of putting together authentic dishes from all over the world.

Also, because it’s live, not only will you learn a thing or two, you’ll actually get the chance to ask questions and get recommendations – all of which you can take with you after the cameras are off.

Want to cook along? Well, you’re in luck, because Globalfest has also put together a combo box with spices and dry goods, so you too can sink your teeth into whatever they’re making!
