As the city prepares for what’s expected to be a massive winter storm, some popular Toronto services, and hot spots are closed.
Environment Canada has warned Toronto that travel “will become hazardous and is not advised” as the city currently remains under a winter storm warning. It’s most likely best that you stay home today if you can.
The forecast is calling for wind gusts up to 90 km/h, snowfall up to 15 cm, rainfall, and flash freeze.
While the worst of the storm is impending, these services have prepared for the worst and some will be closed to ensure everyone is safe at this time.

About 41 stops have been taken out of service due to its notoriety to cause issues for buses during inclement weather. If you’ve ever travelled down the 29 Dufferin, then you most likely understand why.
“A severe winter storm is impacting our train and bus service. As a result there will be no early homebound service and we are running on a special schedule which will include significant service changes,” read the GO Transit statement. Check out if your travel plans have been affected, online.
