On the hunt for your next job opportunity? The City of Vancouver is hiring for dozens of recently posted roles across its departments, so there’s likely one with your name on it.
According to the City, all staff jobs come with a competitive base pay, flexible work arrangements, and extended health and dental coverage. Employees also enjoy earned wellness days, a Municipal Pension Plan, and specialized career development opportunities.
The Parks & Recreation department page says that employees connect residents to green spaces across the city, with jobs at parks, golf courses, community centres, playing fields, destination beaches, and gardens.
Open roles here include the following:
Vancouver Fire and Rescue Services (VFRS) is accepting applications for aspiring firefighters until all available positions are filled.
The City’s Engineering Services division is responsible for “infrastructure essential to the quality of life for residents and businesses,” which includes everything from sewage and drainage to public spaces, transportation, and water distribution.
Right now, the department is hiring a Superintendent I – Compliance & Training, with more open roles on the way.
