Cineplex Canada to give away FREE bags of buttery goodness for National Popcorn Day

As the year’s saltiest holiday approaches, Cineplex Canada has announced a tasty way to celebrate national popcorn day.

This Wednesday, January 19th, hungry movie-lovers can dig into a FREE bag of buttery goodness by doing one of the following:

  • Purchasing a movie ticket and providing their Scene+ membership card at any open Cineplex location
  • Placing an order for tasty theatre snacks through SkipTheDishes or UberEats at locations where cinemas are temporarily closed due to COVID (popcorn will automatically be added to your order.)

“Celebrating National Popcorn Day has become a tradition that our guests look forward to every year,” said Sara Moore, Senior Vice President, Marketing, Cineplex in a press release.

“We’re thrilled to be able to offer free bags nationwide to celebrate the day and spread the joy, as our freshly popped popcorn goes hand-in-hand with escaping into a movie on the big screen or at home.”
