Where to get cheap tacos on National Taco Day

National Taco Day is on October 4 and that means you absolutely need to spend your Tuesday devouring some of the best tacos in the city. To make the day even tastier, why not sink your teeth into cheap tacos that not only taste amazing but are wallet-friendly.

If one thing is for certain, Toronto is known for its delicious eats and global cuisine. So if you’re on the hunt for some low-cost yet satisfyingly delicious grub, you are sure to find it. And tacos are known to be some of the cheapest eats around.

Here’s where you can get cheap tacos to munch on in honour of National Taco Day:

Añejo

Now with two Añejo locations, happy hours have never been better. This spot is known for its $3 tacos, and half-priced tequila. Choose from either beef barbacoa, pulled pork, crispy fried tilapia, chicken tinga, chorizo, or braised mushrooms

When: Happy Hour from 3 PM to 5 PM and 10 PM to 12 AM
Where: 7 Marie Labatte Road and 600 King Street West

La Chilaca Taqueria

Though they have $5 tacos on the menu, you can get more bang for your buck if you order al Pastor. You can get two of the classic taco variety for $6.

When: Every day from 11 AM to 8 PM
Where: 214 Augusta Avenue

Taco Bell

Taco Bell is celebrating National Taco Day with some deals worth talking about. Get a free Crunchy Taco, when you spend a minimum of $15 on delivery orders or two Taco Supreme for $5 at participating locations. Whatta deal.

Latin World

You can’t go wrong with $1 tacos and this local Toronto spot knows how to cook them up just right. Latin World on St Clair and Bloor have specials every weekday – chorizo on Mondays, carnitas on Tuesdays, al pastor on Wednesdays, and de canasta on Fridays.

When: Monday to Thursday
Where: 1028 St Clair Avenue W and 1229 Bloor Street West

El Trompo

El Trompo is a Kensington Market staple and has been around for years. They’re known for their fire Mexican eats including their mouthwatering tacos. You can get five classic tacos for $12 – that’s $3 each.

When: Tuesday to Thursday from 11 AM to 8:30 PM, Friday, Saturday from 11 AM to 9:30 PM, and Sunday from 11 AM to 6:30 PM
