Located in Lethbridge, Alberta, the existing Charmed Resort has delighted hundreds of guests in search of a fairytale and now they’re expanding!

“We are opening our second Charmed Resorts location in Mulhurst Bay which is on Pigeon Lake, about 45 minutes from the Edmonton Airport,” Audrey Leavitt, Chief Marketing Officer of Charmed told Curiocity.

“We really fell in love with the location. It’s a five-minute walk from the beach!”

In a league of its own, Charmed is truly unlike anything else in the province.

Here, each cottage has been inspired by a different children’s book and is decorated beautifully to reflect the characters who would live there.

From castles and pirate ships, every rental provides a completely different experience despite uniform amenities (like comfortable beds and wood-fired hot tubs) and for this reason, people keep coming back.

According to Leavitt, they’ve had an overwhelming response from Canadians looking to book in the warmer months and because their upcoming location is so close to the water it’ll allow them to dive into more aquatic classics.

“We’re excited to tap into some new fairytales,” she added.

“Our social media following has a lot of influence in what we build and there’s already been so many requests for a Little Mermaid-inspired cottage.”

They’ve also had requests for a snow queen stay, which is “great because people will be able to skate on the lake in the winter,” as well as Swan Princess and a Frog Prince Treehouse – though nothing is set in stone yet.

In addition, Leavitt said that they can’t wait to work with businesses local to the area which has a bakery and brewery that visitors will be encouraged to check out while there.

As for when they hope to open their new spot? It won’t be long!

Right now, they’re on track to open in Summer 2024, but we’ll keep you updated.

Big things are happening and you won’t want to miss a beat. It’s going to be incredible!
