We’re pretty thankful for what we’ve got, but that doesn’t mean we don’t enviously scroll through the Instagram stories of the rich and famous. From trips and premieres, some of Hollywood’s elite live big – but you never really realize how big until you’ve seen inside their houses.
Luckily, Architectural Digest has begun pulling back the curtain on the mansions owned by beloved actors, athletes and musicians and wouldn’t you know it, some of our favourites have been from the great north! Showcasing pools, theatres and incredible landscaping here are just a few Canadian celebrity homes featured by the publication in the past.

Located in Edmonton, Alberta, NHL superstar Connor McDavid, practically broke the internet when AD posted about his modern home in 2021. Designed by his now-fiance Lauren Kyle, this home is truly something else with a “sports court,” bar, and minimalistic decor.
Known for her roles in The Vampire Diaries and Love Hard, Nina Dobrev’s home was featured by AD in 2022. With 4 bedrooms, this late-1920s Spanish-style home is bright, cozy and charming. Not to mention the ‘modest’ pool and hot tub area is an absolute dream.
Described as a ‘reimagined oasis,’ Shay Mitchell from Pretty Little Liars shared her stunning home with the publication in 2020. With the help of interior decorator Chad Wood, the home has totally come to life and features warm, unique pieces and another stunning pool area.
A Spanish colonial-style home built in 1924, Suits actor Patrick J. Adams, invited AD into his home earlier this year. With Eclectic decor and original stained-glass windows, this place is earthy, unique and bright.
Featured in both Architectural Digest and his music video for Toosie Slide, Drake’s 50,000-square-foot mansion is probably the most extravagant on this list. Featuring marble floors, golden accents and a 3,200-square-foot primary bedroom suite we’ve truly never seen anything quite like this.
