Talk about romantic! Casa Loma is hosting intimate concerts bathed in candlelight this March and the experience is truly one-of-a-kind. The concerts will be held in the castle’s Carriage Room and to get there, you’ll have to travel the 800 ft tunnel underneath Austin Terrace.

Get ready to sit back and listen to the sounds of Casa Loma’s Symphony Orchestra, playing under the artistic direction and baton of Maestro Paolo Busato.

Plus, every Thursday and Sunday evening, the orchestra will put on a special performance called A Night at the Movies, playing classic scores from popular Hollywood films, including Star Wars, The Godfather, and The Mission.

And on Friday and Saturday evenings, you can attend From Broadway to Opera and enjoy a variety of songs from Tosca, Turandot and Madame Butterfly to Phantom of the Opera, West Side Story, and more.

The show starts at 7:30 p.m. but the doors open 30 minutes prior, so you have some extra time to enjoy the atmosphere. Plus, each concert has a 20-minute intermission.

There are other exciting events happening at the castle too. In celebration of the Queen’s Platinum Jubilee, Casa Loma is hosting an elegant high tea experience inspired by the Edwardian era during the final weekend of February.

You’ll get to savour the majestic atmosphere of the castle while you indulge in scones, pastries, sandwiches, and more.

Before your candlelit concert experience, you can dine on some world-class cuisine at Don Alfonso 1890 located inside the castle, which was recently ranked for serving the best Italian dining anywhere in the world outside of Italy.

We’ve got a lot to be proud of here in Toronto, and Casa Loma is definitely at the top of the list.
