Canada’s longest suspension footbridge is in Ontario & it crosses a canyon

You won’t forget the view from up here any time soon. Canada’s longest suspension footbridge is actually in Ontario and it takes you from one soaring cliff to another.

Located at Eagle Canyon Adventures, the bridge extends an amazing 600 feet across the canyon and hangs at a height of 152 feet above the canyon floor.

There’s also a second suspension bridge that spans 300 feet across the canyon and 125 feet above the canyon floor.

“Cross the suspension bridges for an unforgettable thrill and witness for yourself the majestic beauty of the unique surroundings,” the description says.

Once you’ve savoured the sights from the top of the suspension bridge, there are numerous wilderness trails and scenic vistas to explore once you descend down into the canyon on the staircase.

Then, you can hike along the canyon lake shoreline for the full Eagle Canyon experience.

This destination is also home to Canada’s longest, highest, and fastest zipline, however, it isn’t open for the 2023 season.

Before you head out, you can stop in the Amethyst gift shop for snacks and souvenirs to take home.

Eagle Canyon Adventures is located in Dorion, Ontario, which also has one of the most iconic summits in the province that you can climb to the top of without any previous rock climbing experience.
