Canada’s famous King of Donair to open its first Calgary location on 17th Ave

Our tastebuds are not ready! Canada’s OG King of Donair just announced that they will be opening a location right on Calgary’s 17th Avenue this month, in a short and sweet(sauce) Instagram post, turning our day from good to great.

This will actually be the city’s very first KOD, which only seems surprising because there are hundreds of other donair places in Calgary. Finally, we’ll be able to say that they’re one of them!

Though we really are spoiled for choice, seldom of them compare to this Nova Scotia-based spot, which also serves pizza and poutines, in addition to their namesake.

From the Food Network to even National Geographic (yeah, seriously), King of Donair has been featured, praised, and beloved by everyday people and critics coast to coast.

So prepare yourselves, YYC. Things are about to get real tasty!
