Sometimes, we just have to order in. And not just food. With companies like Uber Eats offering grocery delivery, some Canadians have also placed orders for everyday household items on their food apps.
And Uber Eats occasionally shares its breakdown of all the popular and most unusual trends throughout the year, such as its 2021 Cravings Report which came out in November.
This week, ahead of Super Bowl Sunday and a (probable) spike in delivery orders, Uber Eats shared some of its most ordered items in Canada that are not food.
“Canadians can now order from Indigo, Wine Rack, Metro, Wal-Mart, Shell, and many more for delivery through Uber Eats,” states the company.
“And Canadians have interesting orders.”

Here are the top ten items ordered on Uber Eats Canada other than food delivery:
- High efficiency laundry detergent
- Whitening toothpaste
- Cat Litter
- Liquid-Fast relief ibuprofen
- Vitamin C Supplements
- Parchment paper
- AA batteries
- Can openers
- Mop & Bucket kit
- Toilet paper
But wait, there’s more!
According to Uber Eats, there are some “unique” items ordered through their app in Canada, and this list is in no particular order:
- Dog beds
- National Geographic magazines
- Ice melt
- A kettle
While toilet paper and ibuprofen makes sense, the kettle certainly is a different type of Uber order… And we’re glad to hear Canadians are doing so much laundry.
