If you’re curious to learn just how powerful your passport is, read on. The Passport Index has released its global ranking for 2024 – and it turns out that Canada has a pretty impressive mobility ranking.

So if you’re planning to travel internationally this year, Canada ranks among the most powerful passports in the world, and here’s what to know.

With a current score of 173, Canadians were given a passport power ranking of 7th, along with Malta, Estonia, Lithuania, and Slovenia.

Despite having a slightly less powerful passport than the U.S., Australia, and Slovakia (which earned a score of 174), Canada earned a higher mobility score compared to last year, and remains one of the few countries that can travel visa-free to over 100 destinations.
