January is here and that means the first round of Canada benefit payments will go out this month. Every year, Canadians receive benefit payments after filing their income taxes or applying for them. Here’s what to know.
Since most of them are automatically applied, we often forget we’re even getting extra money. But make sure to check your bank account starting January 5th as the first payment will go out.
These are usually deposited via direct deposit but if you don’t have that set up, you’ll get them in the form of a cheque.
