A Popular California-style Pizza chain is opening their first-ever Canadian location in Alberta

New York, Chicago and Italy. It’s high time we settle the debate once and for all – who makes the superior slice? This summer we challenge you to pick your favourite, but not without trying everything once! Luckily, Edmonton has a ton of authentic spots, one of which is considered the ‘birth place’ of west coast-style pie – The California Pizza Kitchen.

Known for its thin crust and fresh, innovative toppings, The California Pizza Kitchen will be opening its new Edmonton location on August 1st and you’re going to want to check it out… for research purposes.

This will actually be the very first location in all of Canada, so come hungry and feel free to brag on social media after dinner.

“We were first introduced to California Pizza Kitchen in the mid-1990s and were immediately inspired by its culture and innovation,” said, Naheed Shariff, CEO of CPK in a press release.

“We’re honoured and excited to bring this iconic, forward-thinking brand to Canada for the first time, while simultaneously attributing to job creation here in Alberta.”

For a “fun, healthy, alternative experience” and additional menu items like cocktails, salads, pasta and desserts, check them out daily between 11 am and 10 pm on Sunday and Monday, until 11 pm from Tuesdays and Thursdays, or until midnight on Fridays and Saturdays.
