You screamed, we screamed – everyone screamed for more ice cream shops and you know what they say. Ask and you shall receive! This week, Calgary’s chilliest new shop, aptly named Milk, opened its doors to the public and to celebrate? Well, they’re giving away free cones!
Now located in the NW community of North Mount Pleasant, Milk is a small batch company that makes handcrafted, comforting flavours of ice cream.
Though they’ve been in the game for some time, this will actually be their first brick-and-mortar location.
From sea salt Skor to Fudgcicle and our personal favourite – Dunkaroo’s this adorable spot will take your tastebuds back to the ‘good ol’ days,’ and does it really get better than that?

“We find inspiration everywhere,” owners, best friends and cousins Anita and Tiffany write on their website. “A lot of the flavours we create are influenced by our Chinese/Vietnamese roots and by childhood nostalgia,” which is totally sweet.
So sweet in fact, that we hope you it didn’t give you any cavities because you’re going to want to enjoy what comes next.
Today (Thursday, July 29th), in celebration of this exciting new chapter, the small-batch spot will actually give away free scoops to the first 50 people who come for a visit! All you have to do is show up right at 5 when they open and mention Robin Chiu Desjardins – easy right?
Right! So check them out!
It ‘cold’ be the cherry on top of a perfect sunny-dae.
