Calgarians looking to lace up and take a lap can finally feel the wind through their hair downtown! This week, Olympic Plaza, one of the city’s favourite ice skating rinks, announced that it was finally open and ready for action ahead of the winter season.

As the only refrigerated outdoor ice surface in the city, Calgary’s Olympic Plaza has seen thousands of beginners, family, and friends since opening in 1988 for the winter games.
