While the Calgary sunshine has many dreaming about spring, there’s still time to get your winter sports fix. With some of the world’s most coveted ski and snowboard destinations on our doorstep, you don’t have to go far to find incredible powder. Here’s when the biggest ski hills near Calgary are expected to close for the season so you can plan some spring skiing.
If you really want to ski Castle this season, hurry because there’s not much time left! The season is ending in early April, but you can get unlimited spring skiing for the last four weeks for an insane deal of only $109 + GST.

Calgary’s closest mountain is a quick and easy trip for great weekend skiing thanks to plentiful snowfall and state-of-the-art snowmaking equipment. According to On The Snow, Nakiska is expected to stay open until late April, weather permitting.

Mt. Norquay is a top ski and snowboard destination in the Banff area, with runs for all ski levels. They are set to stay open until late April, weather and snowfall dependant, so get out there!

Ski or snowboard the Rockies at Lake Louise resort in Banff National Park. As per the resort’s website, it’s looking like you can hit the slopes until the beginning of May!

Hit the stunning slopes of Jasper at Marmot Basin before the season’s over. With the highest base elevation of any major Canadian ski area, spring skiing is wide open until early May, so plan your trip!

If you want to send off the ski season in style, you can’t go wrong with Banff Sunshine. It’s one of the most famous ski and snowboard destinations in the world! Get a spring ski pass online that’s valid until the Slush Cup in mid-May.
