We don’t know about you guys, but this month has our head spinning! Ready or not, things are expanding, changing and reopening here in Calgary and almost nothing is out of the question. Heck, even Calaway Park was given the go-ahead – announcing via their website that they will be opening just in time to celebrate their 40th anniversary this June.

With safety protocols including social distancing, a wellness questionnaire at the door, sanitizer throughout, and timed entry, the YYC amusement park has been given approval by Alberta Health Services and The International Association of Amusement Parks and Attractions; both of which is super exciting and pretty comforting.

Of course, in addition, to clean hands and spaced-out arrivals, masks will still be mandatory – especially in lines and even on popular rides like the Vortex, Wave Rider, Storm, the Air Gliders, Adrenaline Test Zone and Chaos (among others.)

“The safety of our Guests and Team Members is our first priority,’ they said on their page, adding that this may change come stage 3 of Alberta’s reopening strategy.

If you’re interested in hitting the nostalgia-inducing park, season passes are available now at their site here and at CO-OP for 54% off (until June 7th) and day passes will be available starting on June 12th – their grand reopening date, here.

Enjoy Calgary, but please remember to be safe, smart and kind.
