Bumbershoot is officially back, and the return of Seattle’s long-standing music festival is just in time for Seattle Center’s 50th anniversary. As the festival is being re-launched, it will look and feel a bit different than years past. Here’s what to expect from the festival this year and a look at the lineup.

Bumbershoot 2023 is presented by New Rising Sun and Third Stone with sponsors like Amazon, The Stranger and KEXP. Like years past, it will take place at Seattle Center and has been recentered as “a celebration of our region’s dreamers, makers and performers.” So while yes, you can still see all the music you expect, Bumbershoot is working on growing into becoming a more artistically encompassing festival.

The line up is big this year and quite varied, some names you may recognize include Slater-Kinney, Matt and Kim, Fatboy Slim, Phantogram, Band of Horses and A-Trak.

What’s more, because the lineup has so many names, it’s a great opportunity to attend a brand new, but still, classic festival, and find new artists you love. Of course,  while enjoying your favorite headliners too.

Beyond music, attendees can see and experience an assortment of other attractions and events like AR, culinary arts, roller skating, double dutch and even witches. It’s certainly set to have one of the most unique artist line ups of this year’s festivals.

As for tickets you have the option of choosing between single day tickets ($75) and two day admission ($130), both of which are still available. That being said, it never hurts to plan ahead and grab those tickets now.
