The ultimate road trip can be found right here in Ontario. If you’re up for a REAL adventure, there’s an almost 20-hour scenic driving route in Ontario that guides you along 10 provincial parks. Here’s what to know about the Boreal Driving Route.
According to Ontario Parks, Canada’s Boreal Forest is so vast and beautiful, that it’s worth exploring.
“This unique ecosystem, unlike anything you’ll find in southern Ontario, covers half the province’s land area and stretches around the globe,” shares the site.

This driving route begins and ends in Sudbury. According to Ontario Parks, here are the parks you will come across, in order:
Enjoy stunning views of waterfalls, embark on several hiking trails and go paddling as you venture through the parks.
Though it may sound like a breeze, the estimated trip duration for the full route is about eight to 16 days, depending on how long you stay at each park.
The total driving time is estimated to be about 20 and a half hours. You’ll definitely need some rest to fully enjoy the route in all its glory.
