According to Ontario Parks, Canada’s Boreal Forest is so vast and beautiful, that it’s worth exploring.

“This unique ecosystem, unlike anything you’ll find in southern Ontario, covers half the province’s land area and stretches around the globe,” shares the site.

“It’s a region that many Canadians will never see, yet offers so much in terms of history, culture, and natural wonder.”

This driving route begins and ends in Sudbury. According to Ontario Parks, here are the parks you will come across, in order:

1. 1. Kap-Kig-Iwan Provincial Park
   2. Esker Lakes Provincial Park
   3. Kettle Lakes Provincial Park
   4. René Brunelle Provincial Park
   5. Fushimi Lake Provincial Park
   6. Nagagamisis Provincial Park
   7. White Lake Provincial Park
   8. Potholes Provincial Park
   9. Ivanhoe Lake Provincial Park
   10. Halfway Lake Provincial Park

Enjoy stunning views of waterfalls, embark on several hiking trails and go paddling as you venture through the parks.

Though it may sound like a breeze, the estimated trip duration for the full route is about eight to 16 days, depending on how long you stay at each park.

The total driving time is estimated to be about 20 and a half hours. You’ll definitely need some rest to fully enjoy the route in all its glory.
