Here are all the parks to discover along Vancouver’s scenic greenway

If your favourite mode of transportation in Vancouver is your bike or your own two feet – chances are you’re familiar with the Arbutus Greenway. And if you’re not, let us put you onto this scenic, pedestrian-forward route!

Stretching from False Creek to the Fraser River, the project was started in 2016 to help connect Vancouver residents to the city’s various neighbourhoods and commercial districts, including West 4th, West Broadway, Granville Island, Arbutus Ridge, Kerrisdale, Marpole, and West 57th.

Although technically still a work in progress, the Greenway is adorned with greenspaces and wildflowers, attracting thousands of visitors and commuters every day. Whether you want to head for a walk or run, cycle, or lace up your skates – the path allows visitors of all ages and abilities to enjoy a scenic journey.

However, if you’re looking to check out a new City park on your journey, there are 13 total that you’ll pass – both on and surrounding the Greenway:

  • Granville Loop Park
  • 6th and Fir Park
  • Arbutus Greenway Park
  • Delamont Park
  • Connaught Park
  • Trafalgar Park
  • Prince of Wales Park
  • Quilchena Park
  • Kerrisdale Park
  • Maple Grove Park
  • Shannon Mews Park
  • Riverview Park
  • William Mackie Park
