Take a peaceful autumn walk along this Ontario beach boardwalk that leads to a lighthouse

Who said you can only go to the beach in the summer? Although it’s fall, there’s a beach town along the shores of Lake Ontario that serves as the perfect autumn getaway. Wellington, Ont., is a true gem within Prince Edward County, and it’s home to a scenic boardwalk.

This Ontario gem is on the north shore of Lake Ontario in beautiful PEC. Wellington, Ont., is home to adorable small shops, local eateries, and places to spend the night if you’re travelling from afar.

The town is just a short drive from Sandbanks Provincial Park. Though that alone may convince you to make the trip, it’s the adventure within the town that makes it worth your while.

And when you’re ready to call it a night, you can retreat to The Lakeside Motel or the Drake Devonshire.
