What do Jeff Bezos, Elon Musk and Richard Branson all have in common? From where we’re sitting, we doubt they’re down with Buckminster Fuller, and they’ve probably never even visited Epcot! If that was the case, then there’d be a bidding war on this incredible ‘Starship House’ for sale in West Vancouver.

Located at 6028 Eagleridge Drive, the Starship House is an earlier design from none other than Arthur Erickson. Also known as the Catton House, the home was designed way back in 1967, but looks like it could have been finished this year.

Sitting atop a steep rock face, the home offers incredible views of the Georgia Strait. And, the design is meant to highlight this, using open space and floor-to-ceiling windows whenever possible. The design has another bonus, too- it makes the space, which is only some 2,400 sq. ft., seem much larger than it is.

Luckily, the home doesn’t sacrifice function for its unique style. The main level features a kitchen, living room, dining area and the main bedroom. Upstairs are two more bedrooms, which were intended for the younger generation in the family, but could easily become a studio/reading space if you’re flying solo.

And fly you will, if you can afford it. The Starship House is easily one of the best ways to board Spaceship Earth, and it’ll cost you a pretty penny to live there. So, if you’ve got $4,798,000 to spare, this Erickson masterpiece is easily worth a look.
