Canadians who earn their money by working online are eligible, and cannot enter the Mauritius labour market to qualify. The process is pretty simple and every step is outlined on the website. Plus, if you’re not ready to say goodbye to paradise, there’s even an option to renew the visa. We wouldn’t blame you if you did.

The Cayman Islands are inviting high-earning remote workers to apply for the Global Citizen Concierge visa. Not only are the Caymans unbelievably beautiful, but the local residents are known for their warmth and friendliness, making it a hotspot for visitors from around the world. You’d be living an idyllic tropical dream when you’re off the clock, but you need to be raking in some serious dough to qualify — $100,000 USD per year if you’re applying as an individual and $150,000 USD with your partner. BERMUDA

This gorgeous British island territory makes it easy for remote workers to plan out their temporary lives as digital nomads, with resources on vacation rentals, co-working spaces, and even a dedicated concierge service to help with your move. The Work from Bermuda Certificate is valid for 12 years and it’s easy to apply for. According to the Premier, your application will get a response in just five days.

You’ll be the envy of your coworkers with your Zoom background view of turquoise waters and coconut trees. The Workation Program visa grants you access to various tourism-related services and amenities, like rental cars and boat charters, if you’re feeling fancy. Self-employed individuals are welcome to apply and the visa allows you to work remotely in Seychelles for a maximum of one year.

The Dutch Caribbean island of Curaçao is welcoming remote workers and digital nomads to call their nation home for six months, with the option to extend your stay for another six months. The application takes just two weeks to process, so you could be jetting off to your new temporary home before you know it. Whether you’re a freelancer or a permanent employee, you’ll have to provide proof of your employment as a remote worker. Aside from being absolutely gorgeous, this island is described as peaceful and multicultural — Dutch, Spanish, English, and Papiamentu are the locals’ main languages.
