Seattle is lucky for a lot of reasons. But one of our biggest gifts has to be the abundance of nature right in our own city. And that’s why groups like the Seattle Audubon Society are instrumental in keeping our city’s wildlife flourishing. But now they need your help with this year’s Birdathon!

The Birdathon is a super fun yearly event that encourages Seattleites of all ages to get out and look for birds. And this isn’t just for fun, it’s also for a great cause. Because for every bird you spot and identify you raise pledges from friends, family, and coworkers. And all of that money goes to help support the Seattle Audubon Society.

So while the Seattle Audubon Society might seem antiquated, it’s really not. This group helps to protect local bird populations and their habitats. And again, these critters are a huge part of what makes our city so special. Not to mention, a lot of them eat those creepy crawly bugs that you’re so afraid of.

So if you need something fun, unique, and new to do this spring, we highly recommend joining the Birdathon or helping a friend who’s already involved.
