Here’s how much richer Canada’s billionaires have gotten this year

Everyone knows that the rich only get richer, but you may be wondering how much richer billionaires in Canada have actually gotten this year. Well, The Bloomberg Billionaires Index has the answers.

The Bloomberg Billionaires Index is a “daily ranking of the world’s richest people,” the website says.

At the end of each trading day in New York, the numbers are updated to reflect the new net worth of each billionaire.

The Index also has year-to-date changes that show how much each billionaire’s bank account has grown.

There are 15 Canadian billionaires on Bloomberg’s ranking. The majority have made their fortune in the media and telecom industry.

However, there are Canadian billionaires in other industries too including finance, technology, retail, energy, and commodities.

The two wealthiest Canadians in the ranking are Changpeng Zhao and Sherry Brydson.

Zhao, who is the CEO of cryptocurrency exchange platform Binance, has a total net worth of $18.8 billion. He has gotten $6.26 billion richer over the past year.

According to his profile on Bloomberg, Zhao once had a part-time job at McDonald’s and a gas station. Talk about a come-up story.

Brydson is the largest shareholder of an investment firm that controls Thomson Reuters. Out of 500 billionaires, Brydson is the 123rd richest.

Her fortune grew by $466 million to a total net worth of $14 billion.
