After spending one night in Seattle, you’ll make your way to Vancouver, where you’ll “see amazing views of the city from hundreds of feet above the ground at the Vancouver Lookout,” according to the description.

Then, “as you travel through the Canadian Rockies by rail, you’ll pass through places cars can’t go.”

The next stop is Jasper National Park, then a gondola ride to the top of Sulphur Mountain in Banff.

The last stop is in Calgary, where you’ll disembark and enjoy all that the city has to offer.

Included in the price is one overnight journey on the VIA Rail from Vancouver to Jasper on the Canadian, one-way travel on the Cascades Amtrak train from Seattle to Vancouver, plus 7 nights of hotel accommodations, and admission to all of the destinations on the itinerary.

Travel + Leisure ranked train trip in 5th place out of 12, so it is definitely among the best that North America has to offer in the wintertime.
