With so many incredible restaurants in Toronto, it can be impossible to decide which ones to put at the top of your list. Thankfully, Yelp did the hard work for us by compiling the top 100 places to eat all across Canada, based on the ones with the most community submissions and glowing reviews.

Yelp’s annual ranking determines the top restaurants by analyzing the ratings, the number of reviews, and the volume of submissions, then finalized with the help of Yelp’s Community Managers based all over Canada.

Yelp also made a callout to its users asking them to nominate the restaurants they can’t wait to return to this year.

The final result put Toronto’s beloved sandwich shop and bakery, Grandma Loves You, in the number one spot.

Located just north of Rosedale TTC station, Grandma Loves You serves up delicious lunch options, fresh vegan baked goods, shakes, and more. The photos alone are enough to make your mouth water.

Also in the top 10 is Markham’s Kore Chicken, as well as Pai Northern Thai Kitchen, Descendant Detroit Style Pizza, and J San Sushi Bar in Toronto.

The GTA is well-represented on the list. Other spots around the city and beyond include Vaughan’s Toro Toro Sushi in 13th place, Richmond Hill’s Duo Cafe in 19th place, Mississauga’s Crêpes De Luxe in 22nd place, Scarborough’s One2 Snacks in 36th place, and many more.

Toronto’s restaurants have been getting all kinds of accolades recently. The city is officially home to the best Italian restaurant outside of Italy and another restaurant received similar worldwide recognition back in September.

So, the next time you can’t decide where to order your next takeout meal from, Yelp’s best places to eat in 2022 is the only resource you need.
