A new report by German retailer Peek & Cloppenburg has ranked the best cities in the world for Gen Z as they embark on their adult lives. That’s right, adults, Gen Z are between the ages of 9 and 24 these days or born between 1997 and 2012.
The report used research supplied by Urbanity Impact to create a shortlist of 100 prominent, international cities based on four categories — digitalization, principles, lifestyle, and economy.
Digitalization refers to government digitalization, digital services, connectivity, and technology education opportunities.
Principles are related to each city’s commitment to all of the issues that are important to Gen Z, such as climate action, gender quality, access to mental health care, safety, and prestigious universities.
