Working remotely is more common than ever these days, especially for those in creative fields. And if you’re part of that crowd, this new ranking of the best cities in the world for creative digital nomads might come in handy.
The ranking is published by a UK-based company called Solopress and it reveals the best places on Earth to work remotely in a creative role.
The report analyzes and combines statistics from 30 cities to “determine how well it’s able to meet the needs of the digital nomad.”
That includes the average cost of living per month, Airbnb rates, WiFi quality, and other necessary amenities for the creative remote worker.
Only one Canadian city has made the cut and it’s none other than Toronto. The city landed in 8th place out of 10 cities.

It may not be known for its affordable cost of living, but given that it is the largest city in the world, digital nomads are spoiled for choice when it comes to coworking spaces, cafes, and short-term accommodations.
According to the ranking, the average hourly rate that creative freelancers charge in Toronto is £40, or $67.30 CAD.
The average cost of living in the city is $1,416.81, and the average cost of hot-desking is $196.87 per month.
