According to their website, a new operations coordinator is currently needed for the Sable Island National Park Reserve – one of the most magical places in all of Canada.

Populated by unusual plants, seals and birds this lonely island is located just off the coast of Halifax and is known for its sand and wild horses.

So what exactly does this job entail?

Well, as operations coordinator, you’ll be in charge of facilitating access to and from the island, meeting visitors upon arrival to share stories and brief them on precautionary measures.

In addition, the successful candidate will also serve as the island’s representative and will be expected to manage the remote site infrastructure and facilities, with the support of a skilled Maintenance Worker – so it’s a big job!

Applicants will need to have graduated from a post-secondary institute with a technical diploma in architectural, building, construction, civil, electrical, mechanical or structural specialties to be considered and will be expected to live on the island in a shared accommodation – where your food will be supplied by Parks Canada!
