Seattle has always been recognized as a unique city. After all, we’re the birthplace of all sorts of unique arts and music movements and also apparently have a taste for doing things sans clothes. Our very own city has just ranked as one of the best cities for naked biking.

Why is this even being ranked? Well, naked bike rides typically take place across the US between June and September. But no two cities are alike when it comes to laws, open-mindedness, and all the things that go into making one of these rides successful. So LawnStarter compared the 200 biggest US cities to find 2022’s Best Cities for Naked Biking.

They looked at regulatory landscapes in each city, local popularity of naked biking, the size and activeness of the cycling community, and, of course, the climate. So without further adieu, here are the top ten best cities for naked biking.

  1. Chicago, IL
  2. Portland, OR
  3. Seattle, WA
  4. Austin, TX
  5. St. Louis, MO
  6. Philadelphia, PA
  7. San Francisco, CA
  8. Madison, WI
  9. Los Angeles, CA
  10. Boston, MA

Are there any surprises here? Probably not, although it looks like we’re going to have to work a bit harder to be our neighbors down south. And if you’ve never partaken in a naked bike ride, it looks like this year might just be the time to do so.

You can read the full ranking and learn more at LawnStarter’s website. Happy biking!
