These are the top Canadian travel destinations for spring

Domestic trips are on the rise as Canadians seek travel options within the country. According to a recent study from Airbnb, searches for domestic stays in 2025 are up nearly 20 per cent compared to 2024, showing a “continued shift towards local exploration.”

Are you one of those Canucks that also wants to stay in Canada while still enjoying a vacation away? Airbnb has put together a list of the top spring travel destinations, from charming coastal escapes to must-visit urban hubs.

The full list includes:

  • Communauté maritime des Îles-de-la-Madeleine, Qué.
  • Moose Jaw, Sask.
  • Québec City, Qué.
  • Summerside, P.E.I.
  • Sherwood Park, Alta.
  • Blue Mountain, Ont.
  • Lethbridge, Alta.
  • Elora, Ont.
  • Regina, Sask.
  • Yellowknife, N.W.T.
  • Campbell River, B.C.

The study dives even deeper, mentioning not only Canadian destinations but how Canadians are traveling, too.

Two-person or couple bookings come out on top, making up the biggest portion of Canadian spring travel at over 40 per cent.

Solo travel is on the rise and comes in next at 30 per cent of Canadian travellers. Pet-friendly travel is also becoming more popular with just over 14 per cent growth.
