Bagels aren’t a food that Seattle is known for but that doesn’t mean we don’t have good bagels. In fact, there are quite a few bagel-centric businesses that are worth trying in and around the city.

Whether you want one bagel, a dozen, or a unique bagel sandwich, these spots have you covered. Here are 6 of the best locally-owned bagel shops in Seattle.

Zylberschtein’s

Zylberschtein’s is a Jewish-style deli that focuses on comfort and nostalgia. They smoke their own Pastrami, make homemade Matzo Ball Soup, boil and bake bagels daily, and offer also offer a variety of traditional Jewish Deli foods.

Where: 11752 15th Ave NE
Hours: Wednesday-Sunday 8 AM-3 PM

Old Salt Fish & Bagels

Old-Salt their bagels fresh each day and in-house using Shepard’s grain flour. They source all of their fish from Northwest Bounty and smoke it in-house. That means you can grab some great bagel sandwiches.

Where: 3621 Stone Way N
Hours: Thursday-Sunday 8 AM-1 PM

Oxbow

Oxbow serves pizza, quiche, coffee, and of course, bagels. You’ll find a selection of classic bagels and also cream cheese spreads. Grab one or a dozen, the choice is yours.

Where: 2307 24th Ave E
Hours: Daily 7 AM-5 PM

Eltana

Eltana is known for serving up Montreal-style bagels with two locations in the city. You can either head to Capitol Hill or Fremont to get your hands on their offerings. Besides bagels, you’ll also find spreads as well as a menu of toppings that you can add to your bagel.

Where: 1538 12th Ave & 3920 Stone Way North
Hours: Daily 7 AM-4 PM

Westman’s Bagel and Coffee

Westman’s cold ferments, rolls, boils and bakes their bagels from scratch daily. Plus all their schmears and spreads are made in-house and they offer seasonal sandwiches.

Where: 1509 E Madison St
Hours: Monday–Friday 7 AM-2 PM, Saturday & Sunday 8 AM-2 PM

Loxsmith Bagels

Loxsmith is definitely making Seattle-style lox a thing. They have two locations to make picking up your bagel an easy thing, but keep in mind Beacon Hill is closed Tuesdays!

Where: 5600 Delridge Way SW, and 2709 17th Avenue South
Hours: Delridge open Friday-Sunday 8 AM-12 PM, Beacon Hill open Monday, Wednesday and Thursday 8 AM-2 PM, Friday 8AM- 3PM, and weekends 9 AM- 3PM
