Nature lovers in British Columbia are truly blessed with some of the best natural wonders around, and this includes access to an ancient rainforest that’s equivalent to the size of Ireland, according to the Government of BC. Yes, we’re talking about the famed Great Bear Rainforest!

Situated in the small, charming town of Bella Coola, the incredible coastal rainforest is home to an array of diverse plant and animal life, from ancient cedars to rare white-coloured ‘Spirit Bears.’

So if you’re in need of a bucket-list trip to take before the summer ends, this is it!

Bella Coola has outdoor thrills for adventurers of all kinds, whether you’re into hiking, climbing, sailing, rafting, or a combination of the four.

Entering the valley, visitors can opt for an eco-friendly sailing tour via Great Bear Sailing Adventures, or tackle the area’s range of granite and limestone rocks – whether you’re a pro climber or a beginner.
