This weekend, the first-ever Halal Food Festival in the province is coming to Surrey – and there are over 30 vendors that you’ll be able to sample. With everything from authentic lassis and biryani to Lebanese street food, to tacos, pizza, fusion burgers, and much more, you’ll undoubtedly have plenty of options – so come ready to eat!

The festival

The festival will take place on Saturday, June 25th at Surrey Civic Plaza from noon until 8 pm. In addition to all the delicious food, guests can expect different business vendors to peruse and plenty of family-friendly entertainment.

The 2022 Halal Food Fest reflects the efforts of many communities coming together to celebrate the best of the halal food scene, which has grown tremendously in the past decade. For those who don’t know, “halal” is the Arabic word for “permissible,” and halal food refers to what can be eaten by those observing Islamic teachings.

The Halal Food Fest is open to all communities and is free to enter. Now, let’s dive into the lineup of vendors!
