Warmer outdoor adventures are imminent, and you don’t have to wait for the turn of the season to enjoy them. Joining the handful of provincial parks that are open year-round are these incredible destinations, from Alice Lake to Rathtrevor Beach Park, which reopen this March. So buckle up, dig out all the layers from your closet if you haven’t already, and prepare to be ‘wowed’ by B.C.’s natural wonders.
From the sandy shores of Alice, Cultus, Kalamalka, and Okanagan Lakes to a peaceful getaway to Galiano Island, to every forested trail in between, there are more than enough options to sift through here!
It might be a few more months until we get proper lake day weather, but that doesn’t mean you can’t get excited for warmer, longer days out in nature. So let B.C. be your outdoor playground this spring and summer, and get those camping reservations in at the most popular sites.
Note that frontcountry campsite reservations can be made up to four months in advance of your arrival date, as per B.C. Parks’ reservation website.
Happy adventuring!
